Hactl handles Royal Jordanian Airlines cargo in Hong Kong

2008-01-28 00:00:00

HONG KONG Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) has announced that Royal Jordanian Airlines has started using its airfreight terminal services at Hong Kong International Airport, after the Middle Eastern carrier launched a thrice-weekly passenger service between Amman, Bangkok and Hong Kong earlier this month.

The air cargo terminal operator will provide physical cargo handling and air cargo documentation handling for Royal Jordanian Airlines.

"We are pleased to extend our warmest welcome to Royal Jordanian Airlines, the national carrier of Jordan, to the Hactl family, and we congratulate the carrier on its inaugural service launch to Hong Kong," said Hactl marketing chief Lilian Chan.

Hactl's first new airline customer of 2008 raises the number of international airlines served by Hactl at the Chek Lap Kok airport to close to 90 carriers, on top of the more than 1,000 freight forwarders that use its base at SuperTerminal One, a company statement said.

Royal Jordanian vice president Ingo Roessler said: "As the leading carrier from the Middle East's Levant region, Royal Jordanian Airlines is happy to partner with Hactl, the world's leading air cargo terminal."

"We are confident that Hactl will be able to further support our business growth and network expansion in the region with its efficient, reliable and professional cargo handling services."
